Approval to participate:
The approval for participating in the Austrian Offshore Championship and the Club Championship needs a charter of Bavaria Cruiser 41S at Pitter Yachtcharter. The boats are more or less the same, but anyway they will be drawn. The maximum number of crew is eight.

The ORC-class is open for sloop-rigged monohulls larger than 30 feet holding a valid ORC Certificate fpr 2017. This Certificate has to sent no later than September 15, 2017.  For any costs of changes to the ORC certificate the participants has to pay (currently EUR 70,00 to EUR 100,00 for the measurement certificate, EUR 25, - measurement costs per sail, according to the current price list OeSV).
It is allowed to boom out the genua with the spinnaker boom if it is included in the ORC certificate.
All boats shall have a sticker of the Croatian Sailing Ferderation (HJS) for 2017 and shall comunicate the number no later than 15.09.2017.
The approval for participating in the Austrian Offshore Championship without spinnkaer needs a charter of Bavaria Cruiser 40S at Pitter Yachtcharter. The maximum number of crew is eight.
The removal of furniture, doors, and equipment includes in the ORC Certificate is prohibited. Yachts with devices such as trapeze or bracket used to move the weight of crew members outboard, are not permitted.
All Participants in the Bavaria Crusier 41S one Design Class and all Skippers and CoSkippers in the ORC class and the Bavaria Cruiser 40S One Design Class shall be member of a club affiliated to a national federation or be a direct member of a national federation. The membership numbers of the Austrian Federation (if any) shall be entered online no later than 15.09.2017 at the entry system fo the regatta.
All skippers must meet the legal requirements for skippering yachts in Croatia. All yachts must be adequately insured against liability claims.

Rules:
The Event is subject to the Racing Rules of Sailing 2017 to 2020 published by World Sailing, the World Sailing Regulations, the prescriptions of the Austrian Sailing Federation, the rules of the ORC (latest edition), the Sailing Instructions and this Notice of Race. 
For one-design-class Bavaria Cruiser 41S and Bavaria Cruiser 40S the rules for one -design-classes of the Austrian Sailing Federation apply. For safety the Croatian Regulations shall apply.
The anti-doping rules of World Sailing and the anti-doping rules of the Austrian Bundessportorganisation shall apply. For doping suspended or blocked athletes and caregivers are not admitted to participate at. the regatta.
The notation [DP] in a rule in the NoR or the Sailing Instructions means that the penalty for a breach of that rule may, at the discretion of the protest committee, be less than disqualification.
All participants must wear personal flotation devices.
If the class ruls do not prescribe higher standards, ISO standard 12402-5 (or equivalent) is the minimum requirement for personal flotation devices.

Advertising:
Advertising on sails, hull and rails is allowed. The Croatian Sailing Federation (HJS) may, according to its statute ask for a fee in the amount of EUR 28 (up to 12m LOA) and EUR 35 (over 12m LOA) levy for this regatta, which is to be payed by the participant.
Every other PR event or advertising during the event period is subject to approval by Pitter Yachtcharter.
At the participating yachts following aereas for advertising of the organizer must be kept free: 20% of the hull in the bow, backstay flags, parts of the boom. [DP]

Drawing of the Bavaria Cruiser 41S:
The Bavaria Cruiser 41S will be drawn on the "TAG DES SPORTS" on the Vienna - Heldenplatz.Spinnakers will be drawn on Saturday. September 30, 2017, at 14.00 hrs within the Charergroup.

Race Courses:
In the Bavaria Cruiser 41S and in the ORC
class there will be sailed trapezoid- or up-and-down-courses, and if possible with the weatherconditions one navigational course.
The Bavaria Cruiser 40S without spinnaker will be sailing some navigational courses
as well as trapezoid- or up-and-down-courses, and if possible with the weatherconditions one navigational course.

First start:
Sunday, Oktober 1, 2017, 14.00 hrs

Last possible start:
Wednesday, Oktober 4, 2017, 14.00 hrs

Scoring:
There are planned 8 scorings with one discard.  If fewer than 4 scorings are sailed, there is no discard. If fewer than 3 scorings are sailed, the titel will not be given. Scoring with ORC - Club Performance Line (inshore and offshore).
Overall results according to Appendix A of the RRS. 
in case a long distance race is sailed, this race will be scored twice: one scoring will be calculated after about one thired of the distance; the second scoring will be calculated for the whole distance in finish (this alters RRS Appendix A
).

Groups and trophies:
A) Austrian Offshore Championship in One-Design sailing (Bavaria Crusier 41S):
1. The winning team obtains the prices from the Austrian Federation and the Titel "Österreichischer One Design Hochsee-Staatsmeister 2017". It is required that all members of the crew are Austrian citizen. With any other combination of citizens in the winning crew she will obtain the title "Internationaler One Design Hochsee-Meister 2017 von Österreich" and the best Austrian crew will win the prices of the Austrian Federation and the title "Österreichischer One Design Hochsee-Staatsmeister 2017".
2. Medals for the first three Austrian boats.
3. Trophies for the first fife boats.
4. Blue Ribbon

B) Austrian Club Championship in Ofshore Sailing in a One-Design-Class (Bavaria Cruiser 41S):
1. The title "Österreichischen Clubmeisters für die Teilnehmer der Bavaria Cruiser 41S Klasse" for the best boat with all crewmembers beinge members of the same Austrian Club. This mebership is required from Janury 1, 2017 on.
2. Trophies for the first three boats.

C) Austrian Offshore Championship in the ORC class:
1. The winning team obtains the prices from the Austrian Federation and the Titel "Österreichischer ORC Hochsee Meister 2017". It is required that all members of the crew are Austrian citizen. With any other combination of citizens in the winning crew she will obtain the title "Internationaler ORC Hochsee Meister 2017 von Österreich" and the best Austrian crew will win the prices of the Austrian Federation and the title " Österreichischer ORC Hochsee Meister 2017".
2. Medals for the first three Austrian boats.
3. Trophies for the first fife boats.
4. Trophies for the first three boats of groups (build in case of many participants)
5. Blue Ribbon

D) Austrian Offshore Championship in the One Design Class without spinaker:
1. The winning team obtains the prices from the Austrian Federation and the Titel "Österreichischer One Design Hochsee-Klassenmeister 2017 ohne Spinnaker". It is required that all members of the crew are Austrian citizen. With any other combination of citizens in the winning crew she will obtain the title Internationaler One Design Hochsee--Meister 2017 ohne Spinnaker von Österreich" and the best Austrian crew will win the prices of the Austrian Federation and the title "Österreichischer One Design Hochsee-Klassen-Meister 2017 ohne Spinnaker".
2. Medals for the first three Austrian boats.
3. Trophies for the first fife boats.
4. Blue Ribbon

The group shall be specified in the message by giving the entry and can be changed up to August 15, 2017. Changings after August 15, 2017 will need the approval of the organizer. For changes after August 15, 2017, a fee of EUR 100, - for the additional expense has to be calculated.

TV and press photos:
Competitors agree that recordings may be done from participating yachts and persons onshore and offshore, and that these may be transmitted or printed with images and sound without any restrictions. 

Obligate Event Package per yacht € 260, -
Includes: entire organization and management on land, tracking, daily results, press releases and internet, divers and service team in place, mooring fees in marina Biograd from September 30 untill October 5, 2017, orderly signs in to authorities and port captain.

Event package per person € 195, -
Includes: Opening brunch on Sunday, brakfast from Monday to Wednesday, Sailers-Dinner on Sunday, OeSV-Party on Tuesday, the use the marina facilities, Championship Gift, press support, ...
The event package includes the entry fee of HRK 100, - to the Croatian organizer Yacht Club Biograd.

Method of payment:
A first payment of € 500, - is required within 14 days of entry. Boats whose payment is not made within 14 days will be removed from the entry list.
The rest of the payment is due by August 15, 2017

Cancellation terms:
In case of cancellation of the boat before August 15, 2017 the first payment will be forfeited.
In case of cancellation of the boat after August 15, 2017 the first payment to the event package of the yacht will be forfeited , furthermore, the conditions for the cancellation of individual participants.
In case of cancellation of individual participants after the August 15, 2017 € 100, - per person forfeifed. The rest of the money paid will be refunded as a credit for another race. 

Liability:
Participants sail at their own risk (RRS4). The organizers and all entrusted with racing organization, are not liable for any loss, damage or injury which may occur to persons, yachts or otherwise. This applies on the water and on land. 

Entryregulations:
Entry Closing is on Monday, August 15, 2017.
Late entries will be exepted only in case of free places with an extra fee on € 150,- per boat till to the end of registration.
Late entries of persons will be charged with an extra fee of € 20,- and are possible till to teh end of registration.
Entries may be done only online.


There may be changees and printing errors.
